Will GTA 6 Have Crossplay?

0At the moment, it is unknown whether GTA 6 will feature cross-platform play. There has been no official confirmation. Previous entries in the series did not support this option. However, we hope the developers will still add this highly anticipated feature to the new Online, allowing at least PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players (and later PC players) to play together (no more figuring out who plays on which platform). For modern gaming, this has already become standard.
Another advantage is progress synchronization — players could switch between platforms and continue from their latest progress instead of starting from scratch.
A third benefit: lobbies would fill up faster.
However, there are also downsides. Cheating is far more accessible on PC, and its level is traditionally much higher than on consoles. That said, console players could be matched with each other, while PC could be excluded from crossplay.
Differences between PlayStation and Xbox policies also remain an open question. Still, there are games that prove this is not a critical issue.
If a full cooperative mode is implemented for Grand Theft Auto VI Story mode, crossplay would become even more desirable.
