Easter Eggs and Secrets in GTA 6

Usually, Easter egg hunting begins after fully exploring and completing the game, but in the case of GTA 6, things took a slightly different turn. The developers made sure to hide a good number of secrets even in the early demo stages.
Yet, some were discovered early on. In one of the leaked videos, two NPCs are heard discussing conspiracy theories. They bring up a character from GTA 5 — Jay Norris, the founder and owner of Lifeinvader — whose death, according to some, might not be real. They also mention a satirical theory claiming Finland doesn’t exist and is actually just open sea.
There’s no doubt Rockstar hid more in the first character artwork than it initially seems. The characters’ poses resemble those of the couple in the 2019 film Queen & Slim. Bullet holes in the car body reference Bonnie and Clyde, the infamous bank robbers whose story will clearly echo the adventures of Lucia and Jason. And the building on the right is a replica of the motel from the 1983 film Scarface, starring Al Pacino. Remember the chainsaw scene? Brands and cities shared across other entries in the series shouldn’t even be considered Easter eggs anymore — they all exist in the same universe. Still, such references are always intriguing. Take the strip club (Jack of Hearts from the leaks?) in the Trailer 1, where a tour T-shirt lists Liberty City, Alderney (?) City, Vice City, Los Santos, Las Venturas, and San Fierro. This scene absolutely radiates that old Vice City energy — and not just from the atmosphere. Nearby the Ocean View Hotel is a white-and-yellow Oceanic, just like in GTA: Vice City. A bit to the left, a passerby in a white suit strongly resembles Lance Vance, the iconic player in Vice City’s 1980s underworld. And those Beware of Dog signs? That face looks mighty familiar, right? Yep — it’s Chop, Franklin’s dog from Grand Theft Auto V. The image was taken straight from the game’s HUD that appears when controlling the four-legged friend. In the final shot, pay attention to the stickers on the door. The Uncle Jack’s logo features the face of Everett Morgan, known to players from Red Dead Online Wanted posters. Petty Forever pays tribute to musician Tom Petty, whose song Love is a Long Road plays during the debut trailer. The Full Moon Fever album, which includes the track, was also released with rainbow-colored cover art. And that three-finger gesture? It’s a universal nod to the phrase “two in the pink, one in the stink”.

A lot of these references come as an in-game interpretation of the legendary Florida Man.
