GTA: Advance is the least known entry in the series, as it was an exclusive for the Game Boy Advance handheld console (though PC emulators are always an option). The game closely resembles the first two titles in the series — primarily due to its top-down perspective — while also incorporating elements from the 3D era of GTA. The story takes place in Liberty City in the year 2000, set right between the events of GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA 3. The main character is a small-time criminal named Mike. Together with his friend Vinnie, they decide to leave the city in search of a better life.
Launch Instructions
1. Open the file VisualBoyAdvance.exe located in the Emulator_Visual_Boy_Advance_1.7.2 folder2. Drag and drop or open via File —> Open the file Grand_Theft_Auto_Rus.gba
3. Select «Россия» (Russia) in the language selection menu (screenshot below)
Controls
In menus:Z – confirm/next
X – back
In cutscenes:
Z – next slide
X – skip
On foot:
Arrow keys (up, down, left, right) – movement direction
A – enter vehicle (to cancel, simply run in the opposite direction from the vehicle — just like in any other GTA)
Z – punch/shoot
X – run
Space – fast-forward time (hold to fast-forward more — yes, it's a slightly cheaty emulator feature)
In a vehicle:
A – exit vehicle
Z – accelerate (drive forward)
X – brake / reverse
C – handbrake
C + arrow up – honk horn or activate siren in emergency vehicles
A + C – start side missions in emergency vehicles (in an ambulance, for example)
