Yuanbao in GTA Online

Yuanbao first appeared in GTA Online in January 2025 for the Lunar New Year celebration. They can only be found during the weeks when this East Asian holiday is observed in the game:

• 04/2025,
• 05/2025,
• 06/2025.

For collecting all 36 yuanbao, players will receive several rewards:

• GTA$ 119,968 — 888 for each of the first 35 pcs. and 88,888 for the last one;
• 31,968 RP — 888 Reputation Points for each;
• Golden Snake Santo Capra Outfit, which will be available in the wardrobe in Seasonal Outfits.

The rewards can be claimed twice by completing the challenge with a second character.

Yuanbao were silver ingots used in China before the introduction of modern currency. Today, gold-colored mock yuanbao are used as decorations during New Year celebrations, often associated with the number 8, symbolizing wealth and luck. These boat-shaped ingots were small, weighing up to 2 kg, so they need to be searched for carefully — they are quite small in size and have subtle visual differences. The number of yuanbao already collected (press E on PC or the right arrow on consoles to collect) can be checked in the Interaction Menu (M on PC, hold the touchpad on PlayStation, or press the View button on Xbox) under the Collectibles section.
