Los Santos Slasher in GTA Online

The Los Santos Slasher became active in GTA Online in December 2019 with the release of the The Diamond Casino Heist update. Since then, this hybrid of a Collectible and a Random Event has been permanently available.

Clues

Before the Los Santos Slasher attacks, the player must find 5 clues scattered across Blaine County. Four of them have fixed locations, while the fifth appears in one of five possible spots only after the previous four have been discovered. The first four can be found in any order. As you approach them, you will hear eerie sounds: whispering, screams, and a heartbeat.

The Los Santos Slasher Attack

After finding all five clues (you must inspect each one — press E on keyboard or right on the controller D-pad), you will receive a threatening text message from an unknown number. The attack will then occur, but only if two conditions are met.

• You must be in Blaine County (despite the nickname, the Los Santos Slasher operates exclusively outside the city, though he may abduct victims there).
• It must be nighttime — between 07:00 p.m. and 05:00 a.m. (19:00 – 05:00).

Stay alert to avoid a surprise Machete strike. During the attack, an icon will appear on the radar along with an on-screen warning message.

Rewards

During and after completing the quest, you can earn:

• GTA$ 75,000 — GTA$ 5,000 for each clue and GTA$ 50,000 for killing the serial killer;
• 10,000 RP — 2,000 reputation points for each clue found;
• Navy Revolver — awarded after killing the slasher.

Navy Revolver Challenge

You can earn additional rewards by completing a special challenge with the Navy Revolver. For killing 50 enemies (either other players or NPCs) with this weapon, you will receive:

• GTA$ 200,000;
• Navy Revolver in Red Dead Online (your game must be linked to your Rockstar Games Social Club profile), where it is known as Lowry’s Revolver.
