Confirmation of the GTA 6 Release Window

On Wednesday, the annual Take-Two shareholder meeting took place. One of the topics discussed was AI, the lack of regulatory bodies overseeing it, and concerns that it could lead to illegal use of intellectual property. But the main point was that the release of GTA 6 is still scheduled for the fall of next year. This confirmation is important in light of recent rumors of the game being delayed to 2026.

Obbe Vermeij believes that Rockstar Games will make a decision in May regarding whether "GTA 6" will be released a year from now. He cites the example of GTA 4, the last game he worked on at Rockstar North. "GTA 4" was delayed four months before its planned release. Of course, 15 years have passed since then, but the example is still telling.

The former employee is also confident that there’s no reason for the developers to rush. They have carte blanche from T2 and want to ensure everything is 100% perfect, as the lifecycle of GTA 6 may extend for over 10 years.
