Rockstar and BattlEye are under DDoS attacks

For several days now, players have been experiencing issues accessing GTA Online and Red Dead Online. Multiplayer modes have been kicking players out to single-player modes on both PC and consoles. As it turns out, the Rockstar Games servers are under DDoS attacks. BattlEye has also been affected, with its website being down for a while.

Someone really decided to feel like Lester.

It is most likely that this is the work of people unhappy with the implementation of anti-cheat this week. According to various screenshots and messages circulating on X (formerly Twitter) and Discord, a wave of bans hit cheaters, and they may have organized the attacks. This indicates that BattlEye is delivering results and not just causing problems for Steam Deck owners.

In addition to the 'Onlines' and BattlEye's site, Rockstar's support site was also down.

At the moment, there are no disruptions in the functioning of all affected resources.
