In the summer of 2021, the last themed update for Red Dead Online was released. As it later became known, the developers working on the multiplayer western were reassigned to another project — GTA 6. However, not everyone was happy with the decision to focus solely on the most anticipated video game in history. RDO fans expressed their frustration and tried to get the developers’ attention by launching the #SaveRedDeadOnline campaign.
A couple of years later, the community has once again become active, aiming to demonstrate their love for Red Dead Online and, seemingly, still hoping for some kind of response from Rockstar Games. Perhaps this renewed interest was fueled by a surge in the game’s popularity this year. Unlike the previous attempt three years ago, the new petition can already be considered a success — within just two weeks, the number of signatures has surpassed 8,000.
However, to be frank, this is unlikely to lead to the revival of large-scale updates for Red Dead Online.
