Game Informer’s Comeback

Eight months after its closure, Game Informer’s editorial team announced their return to gaming journalism. The magazine has changed ownership but retained its entire staff from before August 2024. Access to the website has now been restored, offering a wealth of content. Soon, the magazine will be published again in both digital and print formats. Some members of the gaming community had naively hoped that such a significant industry event would come with fresh information, the first screenshots, or even a new trailer for GTA 6. Their hopes were fueled by a mysterious anonymous post from several months ago, urging fans to watch for news on March 25. However, that no longer matters. Rockstar Games published their usual Tuesday post about Red Dead Online bonuses, and GI did not prepare any surprises — just as expected. The only notable detail was the choice of illustration, featuring past covers with GTA 4 and Bully. Naturally, speculation about a remake of one and a sequel to the other has already started spreading online.
