Rumor: RDR 2 to Release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2

0Two outlets have reported hearing from a source close to Rockstar Games about the upcoming release of RDR 2 on three platforms. Word has been going around since the beginning of the year that the popular western will be part of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup. It is said to be one of four titles for the hybrid console that Take-Two disclosed just yesterday.
As for the game’s upgrade to a full-fledged next-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the wait has been even longer. Fans have been anticipating it for so long that some even created a fake trailer.
The only point of disagreement concerns the release date. Estimates range from “later this year” to as late as March 31, 2026. However, the most likely timeframe — at least for one version — appears to be next month: June 5, when the NS2 goes on sale.
