New in GTA Online: Money Laundering, Police Bike, and More

Fresh Summer Update for GTA Online (and FiveM) was released on Tuesday bringing a ton of interesting and useful content to the game.

Money Fronts

Martin Madrazo introduces us to Mr. Faber — a banker through whom all financial flows of Los Santos pass. His assistant, Raf De Angelis, becomes our contact and helps us build a money laundering network.

The entry point into the world of legal earnings that mask illegal operations is the Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry, priced at $1 million. It’s useful because it boosts profits from counterfeit bill sales by 35%. Owning other businesses increases earnings from this location even further. It also unlocks missions that offer both legal and criminal ways to make money — from washing cars on demand to a series of cash grab events. But focusing solely on the shady side will raise suspicion. Once Heat peaks, income stops. You'll have to maintain balance.

You can expand your network by purchasing Higgins Helitours in Puerto Del Sol near the yacht club for GTA$ 900,000. Officially, it’s for showing tourists the city from above. Unofficially — it increases profit from air cargo delivery by 10%, allows you to transport valuable goods, or even steal them from smugglers. It also becomes an extra hub for summoning your personal aircraft, Pegasus vehicles, or the corporate Higgins Maverick.

And then there’s the Smoke on the Water store (originally owned by Franklin in Story Mode) in Vespucci Beach for GTA$ 850,000. Key perks: it boosts hydroponic weed sales by 35% and unlocks a new collectible: Smoke on the Water products.phtml. Each day you can find 10 weed packages scattered across 30 possible locations to earn GTA$, RP, and exclusive merch (a branded Tee).

There’s a third line of work — missions from Mr. Faber. These are six jobs where you solve problems for the power players. They can be launched via a laptop at any of your new businesses or by calling Raf. Be warned: these missions draw law enforcement attention.

There’s also side work offered by QuickiPharm, a “pharmacy” that needs quick deliveries of medication. You’ll have to hit six different spots (usually clinics and hospitals). After five successful runs, you unlock a unique livery.

Progress in all these businesses is tracked with 16 new platinum awards and an additional Career Progress section.

Vehicles

An essential part of the update — new vehicles, with 7 already released and more coming over the next six months.

• Annis Hardy (GTA$ 1,380,000), Sedan. Can double as a taxi with the right livery.
• Annis Minimus (GTA$ 1,450,670), Sedan. Currently exclusive to GTA+ members.
• Declasse Tampa GT (GTA$ 1,338,670), Muscle car. Also GTA+ only for now, but featured in the car wash missions. HSW upgrade available.
• Dewbauchee Rapid GT X (GTA$ 2,705,500), Sports car.
• Karin Everon RS (GTA$ 1,665,000), SUV.
• Karin Woodlander (GTA$ 1,611,000), SUV. HSW Upgrade available.
• Överflöd Suzume (GTA$ 3,074,500), Supercar. Currently GTA+ exclusive.
• Übermacht Sentinel GTS (GTA$ 1,629,000 — 2,172,000), Sports car. Available for test drive during QuickiPharm work.

Developers promise that six more vehicles will be added next week alongside new cargo delivery missions from Gruppe Sechs and Bobcat Security. While exact models are unknown, three are expected to be the ones currently available only through GTA+. Also noteworthy is the arrival of the Western Police Bike (GTA$ 3,720,000 – $4,960,000), which is ideal for law enforcement missions. For a limited time, buying the bike comes with a free Summer Highway Patrol Outfit.

Additionally, 50 more vehicles (on top of the first 50 added in December) can now be fitted with the Missile Lock-On Jammer in Agency and Vinewood Car Club Garage. 26 of them have returned to in-game websites after being delisted two years ago. Other small vehicle-related tweaks players will appreciate.

• The default livery is removable from the LSCM Jester RR.
• Personal aircraft and Pegasus planes now spawn at the new runway added in March.

Other Key Changes & Additions

• Roughly 100 bug fixes. Not all issues are resolved, but the devs are making progress.
• Enhanced versions now feature two new graphic options: high-res ray-traced reflections and secondary ray-traced reflections.
• Main Menu has added shortcuts: Straight To Business, Updates, and Basics of GTA Online.
• Arena Points are doubled.
• You can now skip cutscenes in some previously completed missions.
• Brute Boxville Post OP removed from biker sale missions.
• Global signal in those missions now activates after 60 seconds.
• Armor used in Survivals no longer regenerates in Freemode.
• Level restrictions for Survivals have been removed.
• RC Bandito and Invade and Persuade Tank can now be stopped by EMP shots.
• Cooldown between orders of this special transport is 5 minutes.
• GTA+ subscribers can now spin the Lucky Wheel twice a day.
