Preload, 60 fps, and System Requirements for Mafia: The Old Country

Since the day before yesterday, those who pre-ordered Mafia: The Old Country on Xbox Series X/S can now begin preloading. The download size is 41.34 GB. On PS5, however, preloading won’t be available until Tuesday, August 5.

As for PC, the system requirements have been announced — revealing what kind of hardware is needed to fully experience the game.

  • Colorblind Modes for UI,
  • Sprint toggle/hold,
  • Fully remappable keyboard controls on PC,

Following this, discussions began within the gaming community about whether the game would support 60 fps on consoles — prompting an official response from the developers. They confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will feature two modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X:

• Quality Mode (higher resolution, enhanced visual fidelity),
• Performance Mode (60 frames per second).

The new Mafia can be played offline on all platforms. An internet connection is only required once — during the initial launch on PC, and of course, for downloading patches.
