Bug in GTA Online: Cayo Perico Zombies Invade Ludendorff Cemetery Survival

As has become our tradition, whenever some zombie mode returns to GTA Online, our GCU Team get together on a Saturday night to try and beat our previous record. That’s exactly what we did this past weekend. Our goal was to survive more than the 40 waves we had previously managed in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival. But imagine our surprise when, in the snowy town of North Yankton, we ran into... the undead from Cayo Perico Survival. And this only happens if you turn on the endless waves option. In regular playthroughs, which end at wave 10, you’d never even notice it. The press release earlier this month left a bit of confusion. It mentioned both modes, and the promo image showed a female mage from the island (who doesn’t actually appear in the event). Could the arrival of Splitters, Conquistadors, Panther Trainer, and DJs really be intentional — a hidden feature from the developers? According to Tez, no — it’s a bug. Rockstar Games is already aware of it, and a fix removing the beach dwellers could drop at any moment. So if you haven’t yet experienced this unexpected twist on last year’s Survival mode, now’s the time. Gameplay-wise, it changes quite a lot, making progress significantly harder — but also much more fun.
