Coming Soon to GTA Online: Mansions

As we know from the November GTA+ lineup, the winter update for GTA Online is scheduled for December 9 — unless, of course, it gets delayed too. That’s unlikely, but it has happened before. The developers have already announced that preparations for the new content will begin the day after tomorrow, November 13, with weekly tunables. Other available details have come from dataminers. The story begins with a call from Raf, whom we met this summer during the money-laundering. The conversation will differ depending on whether the player owns the Hands On Car Wash.

After that, there will be three missions, possibly released one per week throughout the rest of the month. They involve Raf, Mr. Faber, and Valentina (those who remember the banker intro scene will recognize her). Each mission has its own marker: the mansion once owned by Devin Weston; a spot in La Mesa, and the docks on Elysian Island. What’s known so far are their titles and the fact that one mission will involve stealing materials from the Mile High Club (which, apparently, will never be finished).

There’s also an 8-minute clip of extracted dialogue lines, which includes some Easter eggs — we’ll save those for later. After completing the missions, players will receive a discount on mansion purchases — the main theme of the upcoming DLC. These aren’t reworks of existing Los Santos properties but entirely new mansions, at least two of them. As a teaser, players will see construction sites appear in November where these mansions will later stand: one on the hill above Vinewood Bowl, and another near Miguel Madrazo’s house.

It’s still unknown what the final buildings will look like, though one theory suggests that the courtyard of the western mansion resembles Devin Weston’s property, mentioned earlier. This is supported by a comparison between an official GTA+ screenshot and the identified in-game location.

In terms of features, players can expect options similar to the Master Penthouse in Casino — hosting parties and installing arcade machines, for instance.

Property acquisition and renovations will be managed through a new real estate website, Prix Luxury — prixluxuryrealestate.com — which will also go live in real life, similar to how thediamondcasinoandresort.com.
