Among the cloth-covered tables for various gambling games and slot machines in The Diamond Casino & Resort, there is a Lucky Wheel — a place where every player can win prizes. This is an absolutely free feature. The setup is simple: there’s a wheel divided into sectors with an indicating arrow; it works like a lottery — whether luck is on your side or not. The difference is, in a lottery you might end up with nothing, but the Lucky Wheel always grants something. In reality it’s just a typical daily reward system, similar to what you’d find in other modern multiplayer games or games that emphasize donations. Some games give out chests/boxes/other containers, while in the case of GTA Online they’ve made it more fitting.

Access and Restrictions

You can spin the wheel, which becomes active after purchasing a membership for GTA$ 500, once a day (real, not in-game). However, due to legislation in some countries, casino gambling isn’t available (an error message about the function’s unavailability appears). This seems a bit strange in the case of the Lucky Wheel, as it’s completely free and you can’t lose or buy new spins. Nevertheless, to bypass this restriction, you can use a VPN.

Prizes

The wheel is divided into 20 sectors. Some prizes have multiple sectors and depend solely on the payout amount.

• Reputation Points: 2 500, 5 000, 7 500, 10 000 or 15 000 RP.
• Cash: GTA$ 20 000, 30 000, 40 000 or 50 000.
• Casino Chips (can be exchanged for cash at a 1:1 rate): 10 000, 15 000, 20 000 or 25 000.
• Clothing: one of nearly 150 wardrobe items. It’s not only a way to get outfits from the casino store for free, but also a chance to acquire rare items that were previously available as a limited time offer.
• 10% discount on transportation from one of six vehicle sales websites. However, it cannot be applied to purchases from Benny’s or the Arena, nor to vehicles like the superyacht, Mammoth Avenger, etc. The discount is one-time and, if not used, expires after one in-game day (48 minutes real-time). If the desired vehicle already has a discount from the developers, the won discount is not added, but calculated from the new price. For example, Truffade Adder with a price of 1 million and a 50% discount will cost not half, but 500 000 minus 10 percent (50 000), which equals GTA$ 450 000.
• Mystery Prize: reputation points, money, chips, snacks, drinks, a pack of Redwood cigarettes, a full set of ammunition for one type of weapon (e.g., a pistol), a bulletproof vest, clothing, business supplies, special cargo, or black-colored transportation. In the latter case, it could be one of nearly 150 transportation vehicles, including motorcycles, boats and airplanes. This is the only legitimate way to obtain Vapid Lost Slamvan, the rarest car in the game.
• Prize vehicle, which changes every week (there can be over 50 vehicles on the podium in a year), in different colors and liveries.

Ways to Win

The chances of winning the prize vehicle aren’t very high, so players resort to various tricks. As with other tricks in GTA Online, players can be punished for any dishonest means of obtaining prizes. The most obvious option would be to immediately close the game (via the PS or Xbox buttons for console players, or by exiting to the desktop for PC) or disconnecting the Internet as soon as it becomes clear that the wheel won’t stop on the main prize sector. The key here is to act quickly so the game doesn’t have time to save to the cloud. For convenience, you can set the The Diamond Casino & Resort as your spawn point so you don’t have to travel there each time. This is done through the interaction menu (M key). After a successful attempt, drive the vehicle to the workshop and double-check if it’s insured. However, one should be cautious with such wheel spinning and subsequent abrupt session exits. Big Brother is always watching — players’ actions are monitored, and if any suspicious activities are found, they can be punished. This could range from prize zeroing to temporary or even permanent bans. Try at your own risk.

There are other, legal, ways to cheat, but they don’t guarantee winning the main prize, only increase the chances. Both options are for PC.

Option 1. The wheel should be at the starting point (the field with the car two positions to the left of the arrow). The player needs to press the S key within 2 to 4 seconds after the hint appears in the upper left corner.

Option 2. The wheel should also be at the starting point. As soon as S key lights up, count to 5-6 and press the button. The wheel will stop at the main prize field or nearby.
