GTA: San Andreas Mural Painted Over in Australia After Nearly 22 Years

10This week, residents of Melbourne, Australia noticed that city authorities had painted over a wall that once featured a GTA: San Andreas mural.
The story of this truly legendary image began back in 2004. It was not created by fans but as part of the game’s advertising campaign. This is evident from the TM mark next to the logo and the link to the official website. For some time, a photo of the mural even appeared on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas pages on Wikipedia in several languages (it has since been removed, though references to it still remain).
Naturally, over the past two decades the surrounding environment changed, and in recent years only fragments of the artwork were still visible. However, it has only now been completely removed, with the wall at the corner of Spencer and Dudley Streets finally painted over.
