September as the Release Month for GTA 6 Is Highly Unlikely

0On the night from Wednesday to Friday, Sony held a State of Play, where they showcased upcoming games for PS4 and PS5 for almost an hour. Naturally, expecting the GTA 6 Trailer 2 was unrealistic. However, we still learned something interesting from the event.
Borderlands 4, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, is scheduled for release on September 23, 2025. Take-Two is unlikely to be interested in launching two of its major titles at the same time. Especially when one of them is so big that it could draw attention away from all other projects. Therefore, it can be assumed that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI will take place later — in October or November. That is, of course, unless it gets postponed from fall to 2026. GTA fans may also be interested to know that MindsEye, announced last year, will become available this summer. The game is being developed by Leslie Benzies, the former president of Rockstar North and producer of the GTA series. Alongside two trailers for the futuristic action game, the head of Build a Rocket Boy Games himself also made an appearance (41:09).
