Absurd Ventures and Dark Horse have announced that on June 23, 2026, a paperback collected edition of the comic American Caper with the subtitle Red-Pilled Blues will go on sale. The volume will include four issues. The illustration will be the cover art from the first issue. The price is $20 ($5 per issue — the standard price). Pre-orders are already available.

Most likely, there will be a second collection as well, since the release of the fifth regular issue has already been announced for March 18.

Illustrator Tyler Boss, who is responsible for the main covers, shared a bit of behind-the-scenes insight. He said it felt surreal to speak with Lazlow over Zoom for the first time — a voice he often heard on the radio as a kid while playing Grand Theft Auto. When the famous virtual host and Dan Houser reviewed his portfolio, they said it was exactly what they were looking for.

The artist also admitted that the resemblance between the art for the first issue and the bikini girl from GTA: Vice City was unintentional and happened subconsciously. While working on the second issue, he was asked to experiment more with colors to reduce associations with GTA, which the creators wanted to avoid.
