Released nearly 18 years ago and never officially brought to PC, Midnight Club: Los Angeles may finally have a chance to arrive on the platform. That is thanks to a fan who set out to create a full PC port of the racing game from Xbox 360.

Back in March 2025, the enthusiast announced that they were working on bringing the final entry in the series to personal computers. The project is possible through recompilation (reconstructing source code from compiled binaries) and tools such as XenonRecomp and XenosRecomp.

A year later, it was revealed that the game could launch, though only up to the intro.

According to the latest update, the game is now fully bootable and already playable. However, no visual proof — neither screenshots nor videos — has been provided so far. The author says there is still plenty of work ahead, including improving performance and fixing crashes.

As before, there is still no release window, even an approximate one.
