RDR 1 Boxed Editions for NS2 Will Also Hit Store Shelves

0In three weeks, not only is RDR 1 expected to go on sale for PlayStation 5 on disc, but boxed editions for Nintendo Switch 2 are also set to arrive in stores. This is being reported by another source, which also confirms yesterday’s information.
The release date remains the same — May 7. However, the final price is listed slightly higher at €35 for both PS5 and NS2. Even so, that is still €15 cheaper than the digital version released in December last year.
That said, the physical editions will differ very little from their digital counterpart. Inside the box, buyers will only find a game download code (including the story expansion RDR: Undead Nightmare, without multiplayer) — there will be no cartridge included, even though its storage capacity would easily be sufficient to fit the entire western without requiring any additional downloads.
In that case, it may be a better option to purchase the Nintendo Switch 1 boxed version of Red Dead Redemption I with cartridge, which can be upgraded to the next-gen version completely free of charge.
