Fans Expect RDR 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2 This Month

As soon as the developers slightly changed the RDR 2 description on Steam and in the Epic Games Store, the community once again started talking about a possible release of the game for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2. An official announcement appears to be long overdue — if only to finally put an end to this never-ending topic (one, two, three).

Fans are seriously hoping for either a next-gen port or at least some official news about it this month. After all, the anniversary of Red Dead Redemption II release is coming up — though it falls on October 26, a Sunday. There’s also a popular observation that for the past five years Rockstar Games has been releasing something every year, even if it’s not a brand-new project:

• 2021 — GTA: Trilogy — Definitive Edition,
• 2022 — GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series,
• 2023 — RDR 1 for PS4 and Switch,
• 2024 — RDR 1 for PC.

At the very least, insiders have once again confirmed that new versions of the game exist.
