RGL No Longer Searches for GfWL GTA 4 Saves

The Games for Windows — Live service has been gone for more than 10 years, but echoes of the past still linger. Today, Rockstar Games Launcher disabled the automatic search function for save files from the GfWL version of GTA 4. However, the option to scan the computer for such saves during the game’s installation will remain available until September 16. That said, precious progress files can always be transferred manually.

Does this mean anything in the context of the rumored Grand Theft Auto IV remaster? In fact, no.
