8On Wednesday, November 12, the first issue of the comic American Caper went on sale. It’s published by Absurd Ventures and created by Dan Houser and Lazlow, who previously held key positions at Rockstar Games and worked on Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead. For several years now, they’ve been working at their new company.
Issue #1 can be purchased in many specialty stores across the US, as well as abroad (Canada, London, Leeds, Berlin, Paris, Sydney). The standard price is $5 per copy, though it may be higher in some locations. There are also five variant covers. On the official website, a bundle including all five variants — five for the price of four — was offered, but it has already sold out.
Alongside the series launch, the creators announced a small signing tour for physical copies. Unfortunately, it’s limited to California and London. On the West Coast, Lazlow will be the headline guest, while Dan Houser will appear at the London event.
The next three issues will be released over the following three months:
- Issue #2 — December 24;
- Issue #3 — January 21, 2026;
- Issue #4 — February 18, 2026.
