The Diamond Casino & Resort in GTA Online

Unlike the numerous casino-hotels in GTA: San Andreas, the gambling establishment in GTA Online is not inspired by real-life location. The building was opened on June 23, 2019, almost six years after game launch.

It serves multiple functions: as a casino where regulars spend their hard-earned money on gambling games, and players can use the Lucky Wheel daily; as a hotel where frequent guests can purchase a penthouse; as a source of trouble and income — the Diamond offers side missions and its own storyline (for those who bought suite), which later leads to a Casino Heist. Additionally, a variety of services are provided here, briefly outlined on the official website (accessible both in-game and IRL at thediamondcasinoandresort.com). Location

The Diamond Casino & Resort is built in East Vinewood (Los Santos, Southern San Andreas) on the site of the Vinewood Casino (also known as Be Lucky: Los Santos), which can still be seen in the GTA 5 Story Mode. The gambling establishment is marked with the icon on the map and radar.

Membership and VIP Membership

Visiting the casino without membership doesn’t make much sense, as spinning the Lucky Wheel, sitting at card tables and slot machines, or betting on a favorite horse are not possible. All these entertainments, as well as valet services, are available only after acquiring membership, which costs 500 GTA$. You can buy it directly near the places where the corresponding notification appears or at the entrance desk , where Tom Connors is always ready to assist. Those who obtain VIP Membership can enjoy all guest services offered there, as well as access the VIP Lounge. VIP Membership is automatically granted to all penthouse owners, so standard membership is a temporary choice for newcomers. Those who wish to play on a larger scale will eventually acquire a room at the Casino & Resort.

Guest Service: Valet Parking

Available with standard or VIP Membership. Outside at the entrance desk, a valet awaits the keys to your vehicle. He will park it in the parking lot inside the building. Later, after speaking with Tom, they you retrieve your vehicle and bring it back to the entrance. Alternatively, you can personally get your vehicle by going down to the parking lot yourself.

Guest Service: Limousine

Available only with VIP Membership. This is a fast travel feature within the game world, capable of teleporting you from the casino to one of 10 points on the map:
  • LSIA,
  • Del Perro Pier,
  • Observatory,
  • Terminal,
  • Legion Square,
  • Chumash,
  • Tongva Hills,
  • Sandy Shores,
  • Grapeseed,
  • Paleto Bay.
Upon request, one of two service limousines, either the white one with the plate DIAMOND1 or the black one with DIAMOND2, will transport you to your destination.

Guest Service: Aircraft Concierge

Available only with VIP Membership. For 200 bucks, one of eight helicopters will be instantly delivered to the rooftop of the building, but only if player owns that particular aircraft:
  • Buckingham Swift,
  • Buckingham Swift Flying Bravo,
  • Buckingham Swift Deluxe,
  • Buckingham SuperVolito,
  • Buckingham SuperVolito Carbon,
  • Buckingham Volatus,
  • Maibatsu Frogger,
  • Buckingham Maverick.

Phone Service: Limousine

By calling Miss Baker, you can request the reverse service — a limousine from any point on the map. However, this won’t be teleportation — you'll have to travel the entire distance. But you can specify any destination on the map, not just the casino. The driver can be instructed to go, stop, or hurry up as needed.

Phone Service: Car

Also upon request from Agatha, one of six player-controlled vehicles will be brought to player:
  • Enus Cognoscenti Cabrio,
  • Enus Windsor,
  • Cheval Fugitive,
  • Enus Super Diamond,
  • Benefactor Dubsta,
  • Benefactor Feltzer.

Cashier

In the main hall next to the Lucky Wheel and podium is a cashier who exchanges money for chips — the local currency used in gambling, for bets, and for purchasing clothing and accessories for the penthouse. The exchange rate is 1 to 1, meaning one GTA$ equals one chip. Conversely, chips can be converted back into money. Players without membership can receive up to 20 000 chips per in-game day, while VIP members can receive up to 50 000 chips. Additionally, with standard membership, players receive a daily visitation bonus of 1 000 chips once every real 24 hours. The key is to remember to collect it: spin the Lucky Wheel, then visit the cashier for your bonus.

The Solitaire Bar

Senior bartender Josephina will serve everyone regardless of membership status. However, for casual visitors, all drinks will be chargeable, and only champagne will be sold to members, though it’s not particularly useful. After a brief introduction, a mini-game starts where you first shake the bottle (Enter on PC) and then control the spray (W, S, A and D keys on PC) to splash the drink around, but you won’t actually drench anyone (the whole thing happens in one spot). Protagonist will finish the leftovers, but it only mildly intoxicates. Reputation points are awarded for such extravagance, although it’s better to wait for free drinks at the bar, which happens several times a year.
  • Blêuter’d Champagne Silver — 100 RP,
  • Blêuter’d Champagne Gold — 250 RP,
  • Blêuter’d Champagne Diamond — 1 000 RP.
If you drink until blackout, you can come to your senses in the restroom or on the bed in your penthouse (if you have one).

Store

Next to the bar, there’s a shop selling unique items, primarily Diamond-branded clothing, but also accessories for the penthouse. You can replenish your wardrobe without membership, but payment for these items can only be made with chips.

Gambling Halls and VIP Lounge

Near the Lucky Wheel, there are slot machines, and behind them, there are entrances: to the Inside Track area on the left and to the rest of the building on the right. Access to the VIP Lounges (there are two) is restricted without VIP Membership, though there isn’t much to do there: sit, smoke a cigarette, have a beer or vodka, and feel exceptionally important. Further along, there are about a dozen and a half slot machines, and as an alternative, tables for playing blackjack, poker, and roulette, available only with standard Membership. VIP status is required for the high-stakes tables. Also located here are restrooms, separate for men (where one movie props awaits), and separate for women.

Executive Office (Management)

In the same wing, there is the entrance to the reception of the casino general manager, Agatha Baker. Access is granted only after purchasing a penthouse. Inside, you’ll find the friendly secretary Debbie, and in the actual office, you’ll meet general manager herself, with a window overlooking the main hall.

Elevator

The other areas of the casino load separately, and you can access them using the elevator at the entrance desk, in the penthouse, penthouse garage, parking lot, terrace, roof, and in the Music Locker nightclub.

Parking Garage

In addition to the parking outside, there is also an indoor parking facility within the building (besides the elevator, there’s also a passage to the penthouse garage) for casino guests, where a valet parks your personal vehicles. Additionally, several cars are parked there under different circumstances (during free roam and certain missions). It’s not possible to steal or interact with these vehicles. Some cars have unique license plates and belong to specific characters.

Roof Terrace

The terrace is part of the open game world — you can access it not only from the casino but also, for example, by arriving in an aircraft or parachuting down. Unfortunately, the bar here is closed, and the sun loungers are purely decorative. You can sit down, hop into the jacuzzi or pool (your clothing will automatically change to swimwear), and find a flash drive with the Blue EP music. If you descend to the adjacent relaxation area with a campfire and a splendid view of the city, and circle around the pool, you’ll reach the back side of the terrace, designated for air conditioning units, service entrances, and similar. At the far end, there’s a parachute and a ladder to the roof.

Roof

On the rooftop, there is an elevator that can transport you to another part of the building, and a helicopter pad with an automatic landing feature. On the same pad, there is also a second parachute.

More areas (such as storage rooms, floors with rooms, etc.) can be seen in missions and heists.
