Today, a seemingly ordinary Scottish musician named Drew Larg passed away. Few people — even in his homeland — may recognize the name. He doesn’t have a Wikipedia page or many Google search results, but there’s one fascinating fact in his biography. Once upon a time, a studio from his hometown of Dundee hired him to work on a country-style track.

That song was The Ballad Of Chapped Lips Calhoun by ‘Sideways’ Hank O’Mally & The Alabama Bottle Boys, created for GTA 1 — back in the days when each in-game radio station played just one track.
