Is GTA 6 the Next Big MMORPG?

During a discussion about the future of MMORPGs, Rich Vogel — a veteran of the gaming industry who has contributed to projects such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Doom (2016), Halo Infinite, Gotham Knights, and many others — also mentioned GTA 6.

If what I have been hearing about features and gameplay is true, it could evolve into an MMORPG, as many of its planned features are typically found in the genre.

Naturally, this refers to the next iteration of Online, which, like its predecessor, will be expanded in all directions. This will be supported by role-play elements being implemented by the developers. Even though Grand Theft Auto is not a traditional representative of this type of game, it fits the criteria in many ways. It could become an excellent example of a non-fantasy, non-sci-fi MMORPG.
