GTA 6 Is the Most Anticipated Game of the Year

Last night in Los Angeles, the 10th annual The Game Awards ceremony took place. Before the show, we warned that it wasn’t worth expecting a new GTA 6 trailer. The developers haven’t made big announcements at events for quite a while — they get plenty of attention without outside help. Yes, the promo video released a few days earlier included three frames from GTA VI, but that’s only because it was nominated for Most Anticipated Game of the Year. Everything about this nomination seemed predictable from the start. And that’s exactly what happened: Grand Theft Auto VI outpaced its “competitors”. They announced it and then moved on to the next winners. There were no speeches, unlike at the Golden Joystick Awards. Most likely, there weren’t even any Rockstar Games representatives present in the hall.
