RDR 2: Steam Record and DLSS 4 Release

During the Steam sale, which ends on Thursday evening, RDR 2 is being sold with the biggest discount ever applied to the game. Sales over the past week and a half have led to an all-time record in concurrent players. On Saturday afternoon, nearly 100,000 people were playing simultaneously — falling just seven players short of hitting the milestone.

A breakthrough in this record will likely happen during the next sales, provided that the discount remains just as significant.

Additionally, last week saw the release of DLSS 4 from NVIDIA. As expected, new “revolutionary technology” is being promoted through the latest video games, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be used in older titles, including Red Dead Redemption 2. Some tests show a slight drop in FPS, but the visuals appear improved — though not everyone agrees. The debate over whether the changes are truly noticeable continues. You can try it yourself if you’re playing on a PC with an RTX 2000, RTX 3000, RTX 4000, or RTX 5000 series graphics card.
