Take-Two Disapproves of Vice Beach Replica from GTA 6 in GTA 5

At the end of last year, a user under the nickname Dark Space began recreating Leonida from GTA 6 using the GTA 5 engine. Initially, it was a schematic representation that simply allowed for an assessment of the future map’s scale. Over time, the project evolved, and the author managed to assemble a simplified version of Vice Beach, followed by the addition of the Venetian Islands, whose in-game name remains unknown.

A small but impressive project was showcased on a YouTube channel, though the videos included excessive graphical enhancements that did not reflect the actual state of the mod. However, on Friday, anyone could download Vice Project and explore it independently. By yesterday, though, the release video was taken down following a request from Take-Two. Naturally, the mod — available not only in Story Mode but also in FiveM — was removed from public access to avoid major legal issues. All that remains of it now are various media files.
