Sometimes, fans spot hints of GTA 6 where there are none. Sometimes, people play into this speculation to gain publicity. This case seems to be a mix of both.
Popular U.S. artist Megan Thee Stallion recently shared a video from a tequila ad shoot on her Instagram. The brand is sold in select liquor stores in California and Florida. The clip quickly spread across the Internet. The reason? The background features palm trees and a color palette reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto VI.
The theory that Megan was posing for the game’s loading screen became so popular that Fleurash Design created fan art based on it. The artwork is now available as wallpapers for computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. However, it’s highly unlikely that developers would cast a real celebrity as the cover girl. The franchise traditionally features fictional women, sometimes loosely inspired by real models. But organizing a dedicated shoot and paying exorbitant fees? That’s not Rockstar Games style.
That said, Megan Thee Stallion could still make an appearance in GTA VI — as a musical artist. Her collaboration with DaBaby, Cash Shit, plays on iFruit Radio in GTA 5 and even appeared in the 2022 leaks, but it definitely won’t be repeated.
