Steam Adds Community Items for Two Mafia Games

On Tuesday, October 7, two new community item sets were added to Steam — for Mafia: Definitive Edition and Mafia 2: Definitive Edition. Each set includes:

• six trading cards (earned through gameplay, though you can only collect up to four this way — the remaining two must be traded or purchased with real money);
• six badges;
• three profile backgrounds (available for 500 Steam Points each);
• five emoticons (available for 100 Steam Points each).

All of these items are available only to players who own the respective games in their Steam library.

The third game in the series has had its own community items for quite some time, but we can expect similar content for Mafia: The Old Country in the near future. However, not everyone was pleased — fans criticized Hangar 13 for using AI to upscale and color the artwork used for the trading cards.
