Two more interviews given by Strauss Zelnick at the iicon conference — for Business Insider and Game File. The head of Take-Two still did not reveal any major new details about
GTA 6, but he did share a few interesting comments.
Budget
According to analysts, Grand Theft Auto VI may have cost between $1 and $1.5 billion. However, the executive refused to confirm the exact figure, only saying that “it was expensive”.
Presentation
The CEO shares he had been shown GTA VI, but had not played it himself. According to Zelnick, he does not play video games, drink alcohol, or smoke. One of the developers was holding the controller during the demonstration. What he saw, he described as “amazing”.
Modding
The head of T2 also spoke about modding. He said the company is amazed that hundreds of thousands of people have been creating their own versions and modifications of Grand Theft Auto for decades. Instead of trying to beat it, they believe they should join it. That is why the Cfx.re team became part of Rockstar Games.
