Fans Expect Something About GTA 6 in March or April
today at 16:48
16In recent days, speculation about GTA 6 has significantly increased online. Some claim that we’ll receive fresh official news by the end of March or the beginning of April.
What is this based on? Essentially nothing. Some users point out that the developers’ latest post on the Rockstar Newswire covers several weeks of bonuses for GTA Online instead of the usual single week. They assume this means the studio is clearing space for an important announcement or showcase. But in reality, that’s not the case. Rockstar has published multi-week updates before — for example around Halloween, Christmas, and New Year. And nothing related to Grand Theft Auto VI appeared during those breaks.
Wednesday, April 1? It comes right before the end of the period dedicated to the Community Series. A perfect opportunity to tease fans. But for Sam Houser, apparently, the real tease is simply not releasing anything at all…
Another assumption is that if Rockstar Games were to reveal Trailer 3 or open pre-orders right now, representatives of Take-Two could boast about new metrics during their next financial report in May. But does the publisher actually need that? Not really. Strauss Zelnick seems perfectly capable of keeping investors satisfied without the company losing too much value in its stock.
So for now, we’re sticking to our forecast and not expecting anything related to GTA VI anytime soon. No expectations — no disappointment. If news does arrive, it will simply be a pleasant surprise.
