Insider: GTA 6 on Disc May Release Later Than the Digital Versions

1Insider Graczdariego reports that GTA 6 may arrive on physical media later than its digital release. The delay could last 3–4 weeks (that is, until mid-December) or even stretch into early 2027.
Take-Two reportedly wants to do this to prevent leaks when discs appear. Printing and shipping physical copies to stores takes time, and during that window story spoilers, various details, and even the full game could leak online. This has happened with every major Rockstar Games release and would almost certainly happen again this fall if no precautions are taken.
This information comes from sources involved in video game retail sales in Europe. While they don’t fully agree on how long the wait for physical editions will be, they do agree that only digital versions will be available on November 19. The topic first surfaced two to three months ago, but at the time it lacked solid confirmation. More details may emerge within the next month.

[2] As the author, I can add that we actually first heard about the GTA 6 physical version delay two/three months ago, but the information was 'less confirmed' back then than it is now.
